Throughout our years together, music has been an absolute constant for Col and I. Gigging together, writing songs together, ticking off dream concert after dream concert (Fleetwood Mac... Eagles... Taylor Swift... not to mention ten consecutive years of the Bootleg Beatles).
Having written and recorded albums worth of songs together, we finally decided to start a new 'band'. Thus, Not Normal was born, with our debut album 'Happiness Is...', which you can listen to and read more about below.
Stylistically, we've got pretty varied influences, from Col's classically trained voice, my love of blues and classic rock, and a shared love of Santana, The Eagles, The Cadillac Three, Taylor Swift (I never thought I'd be saying that 15 years ago) and all other things country rock/pop.
How this translates into our songwriting, I'm not really sure - I think we've got our own style. We do this for fun and personal fulfilment, but give us a listen and see what you think.
