Newcastle got their preseason underway with a behind-closed-doors victory over Darlington.

Two separate XIs played in each half, with a senior line up taking a two goal lead into the break following goals from Willock and Osula, with Sean Steur getting his first 45 minutes in black and white.

Sean Neave scored Newcastle's third in the second half to complete the scoring, with Ewen Jaouen also making his first appearance for the club.

Other notable participants in the second half included Seung-soo, Finneran, Salia and Mason Miley.
