Newcastle put the last-minute Liverpool disappointment to one side with a fantastic away victory at Spurs on Saturday teatime.
The result incredibly leaves us with more Premier League wins at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than Spurs in 2026.
After a fairly even first half in which the home side dominated without particularly threatening, Newcastle turned on the style on the hour mark, debutant Nico spraying an absolutely wonderful pass out to Dedic, who forced the ball inside to Elanga in the box.
Facing away from goal, he turned his marker on the inside and curled a beautifully precise finish into the far corner - a stunning goal from start to finish.
And there was more to come, Nick Woltemade coming off the bench and making his last act in a Newcastle shirt - for this season at least - an assist just after coming on, as he nodded a corner down to Wissa on the six-yard line, who acrobatically hooked it over his shoulder and in.
So three games in for Jaissle, unbeaten in the league (and seconds away from a maximum return) and progress in the cup, with an exciting, fresh team.
We've even broken the Marmoush curse, though perhaps it's more accurate to say Spurs have broken Marmoush.
Next we get to find out whether Jaissle can break the Bournemouth curse, but for now we can enjoy this one.
God, I love beating Spurs.
