Newcastle brushed Big Ange's Forest aside, extending the Aussie's winless start to his tenure to seven games.

However, it took until close to the hour mark to break the deadlock after Forest surprisingly set up to defend, and Elanga in particular endured a torrid first half as we struggled to break them down.

One player who couldn't be accused of a poor game was Bruno, who gave a complete captain's performance, and it was courtesy of two moments of magic from him that we took the lead.

Firstly he clattered into Morgan Gibbs-White, taking the ball cleanly in the process, then turned and dashed upfield while his opponent rolled on the turf.

Receiving the ball back, Bruno unleashed a wonderful curling strike over ex-Mag Mats Selz and into the net for lift off.

We dominated from there, and I can't believe I'm saying this about a penalty, but the second goal was even better than Bruno's opener.

Agent Elliot Anderson brought down, you guessed it, Bruno in the box, and after missing out on penalty duties to Gordon, Woltemade got his chance, and my god did he ever take it.

With the best penalty I have ever seen in my life - and I grew up watching Shola (don't laugh, watch his pens back) - he half stuttered his run up before absolutely wadooshing a rocket into the very top left corner, so far in the corner that I was convinced he'd skied it.

And so as we head off into yet another bloody international break, we can frame things in a better light - our only defeats this season against Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal, and unbeaten away, having won two home games against stubborn opposition.
